The word "question" refers to a statement which seeks a response or an answer. Every day, there is a chance to have questions. There are certain questions that are open ended with the need for explanation, explanation and others, while some need only either a Yes or No. In some cases, there are questions that don't necessarily require a response but just for someone to take note of (rhetoric issues). Depending on the structure to the problem, any answer following must provide the information the question is looking for. The majority of people fail in exams simply because they're not smart, but due to their inability to be aware of the information being demanded of them. The inability to express the question correctly will result in an incorrect decision or response. After a presentation, you must feel satisfied when people have questions. It may be a sign that the audience was engaged with your presentation and that the presentation attracted the attention of others. How you answer those questions will increase the view of your audience of you or increase confidence in your product or service. As a professional, you'll have to master ways to pose relevant questions , and most importantly, you must know how you can answer them effectively.

Before you jump into answering a question, make sure you have in your mind what the question is about. It is not a bad idea to start by getting clarity on what's being asked. Be polite and ask "I apologize, I do not seem to be able to comprehend what you're asking and would you be willing to rephrase it?" You'll have a better chance of communicating in such a situation than just ranting about with no clearness or comprehension. Keep in mind that the purpose of answering questions is in a positive way to the one who is trying to find an answer. Avoid wasting time. Seek understanding first.

A way to increase your chances of responding to the question in a meaningful and objective manner is if you give the person who is asking questions time to complete asking. Many people will take the time in describing precisely what are looking for. Being able to answer a problem before it is properly asked might seem an act of disrespect. It is not a good idea to assume you know exactly where the query is heading and thus you wish to help the person find the answer. If you have time give the person time to "ramble" while you make note of the key elements. Also, it gives you time to think through and formulate the best answer to the question. The ability to listen will give an excellent chance to succeed in answering questions.

You must determine if you are qualified to answer this question or whether someone else is. Can you legally talk about the subject (journalists may be in a position to sway you, even when you're not supposed to be a company spokesperson)? What should the response be? The pauses and silences prove that you're just churning up any content you have in your mind, but a thought out solution is coming. It is possible to prepare your audience member for an answer by asking "Let me think about it ..., let me think." ..". That way the person does do not just sit and think they haven't heard and you're just ignoring the person who is waiting for you to answer. The process of thinking through can help you to come up with statements that you won't regret for later. You can assess the best way to present your argument with wisdom without leaving scars or fresh wounds.
