This will ensure that the person does stop waiting around, thinking that you didn't hear it, or that you're not paying attention, and ignoring. Thinking about the situation also allows you in coming up with suggestions that you'll feel good about later. You can determine the best method to reply with wisdom without leaving injuries or wounds that are not healed.
