A way to increase the likelihood of you answering your question in a sensible and objective manner is when you give the person who is asking the question to finish asking. Some people take their time in describing precisely what want to know. If you answer a question before it is properly asked might seem disrespectful. Don't think you know where the person is asking you, hence you need to assist the person get straight to the point. If you have time leave the person "ramble" while taking notes of important factors. It also gives you time to synthesize and think of how to best respond to the question. Your ability to listen is what gives the highest success rate when it comes to answering questions.

You have to determine if you're competent to answer the question or if someone else has the.
